Fishing Simulator 2 is the second edition of this fishing simulation game.
This game offers to versions: Lite, limited in locations and music available and with a lightweight installation file (oriented to those who are interested in testing the game); Full, with all 50 locations and relaxing music included, and a large installation file.
There are two modes to play this game: local game and online game. The local game is single player. The online game makes you a player in a fishing competition where the winner is who gets the bigger piece.
The game is pretty simple, even if you are not a fisherman. Basically, you choose one of the 50 available locations and cast the line. After that, all you have to do is sit back and wait, enjoying the landscape and background music, which, by the way, you can turn off. Once a fish bites your bait you have to try to catch it being very careful about line tension. There’s a bar indicator to let you know the line tension is. The challenge is to keep line tension within acceptable limits while you shorten the line until you catch your piece. If you finally catch a piece, the information about it will be shown in a special dialog that pops-up, and you will be able to choose whether to keep it or not.
The game options you can configure are few: game speed, volume, mute sounds and use the best texture quality. The system requirements are the following: a 800 Mhz processor, a 128 Mb video card, 64 Mb of RAM memory, and 150 Mb of free disk space.
